Heartland College of Mediators

The Heartland College of Mediators was established in 2007 to recognize the commitment to continuing education and the training attainments of mediators.  The College is supported by statewide mediation organizations in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.

Mediators who have obtained the core training required or recommended in their home state may join the College upon receipt of six hours of continuing education (commencing April 1, 2007) at a Heartland Regional Conference or training held by any of the statewide sponsoring organizations.  There are three categories of association within the College:

  • Member (has completed 6 hours CEU)
  • Scholar (has completed 26 hours CEU)
  • Fellow (has completed 76 hours CEU)
