Conflict Resolution using Interest-Based Mediation

Conflict is part of human nature.  It stems from no two people being alike.  Our differences are what create a diverse world and should be embraced.  However, with differing ideas, philosophies, and experiences, comes conflict.  Generally, conflict is thought of as a negative part of one's life, though it need not be.  Through interest-based mediation and facilitation, people tend to hear perspectives that vary from their own with the help of a third party neutral.  The process of mediation allows each party to move forward and work through the conflict in a consensual manner.

It isn't enough to talk about peace.

One must believe in it.

And it isn't enough to believe in it.

One must work at it.
