Professor Kristen Blankley, University of Nebraska at Lincoln

As cases, hospitalizations and challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic continue to rise,
now, more than ever, it is important as mediators to consider how we practice
ethically. Being mindful of the advantages and limitations of technology, cyber
security, social media, and the distinct roles of client/mediator are critical.


With 9-months of pandemic time in review, Kristen Blankley will share ethical ideas for
consideration as we continue to navigate our practice during the course of the
pandemic.


Kristen Blankley is a Professor of Law at the University of Nebraska where she joined
the faculty in 2010. Professor Blankley teaches courses on mediation, arbitration,
facilitation, and legal ethics. Her research is primarily in the areas of arbitration,
mediation, and restorative justice. Professor Blankley is an affiliate mediator with The
Mediation Center, The Resolution Center, and Central Mediation Center.
