Our Mission & Purpose

Nebraska Mediation Association's (NMA's) mission is to promote creative and constructive engagement through professional development, collaborative partnerships, facilitation, mediation, restorative justice, and conflict engagement training to practitioners, professionals, and others throughout the State of Nebraska.

NMA Elections

Thanks to all who participated in NMA Elections, both as candidates and as voting members. The bylaw revisions passed and our new board looks forward to moving the organization forward this next year! After a runoff election and one vote separating our winner, we are pleased to welcome Monica Miles Steffens and Amber Ayres to the Board from the general membership. We also welcome the mediation center Executive Directors under the new structure.

Book Club Meeting

Joe Beckman authored the book  "Just Look Up" which the NMA book club will be reading for the upcoming June 22, 2022 meeting from 4pm - 5pm CST.

Book Club is open to all NMA Members! Check your latest NMA email for a link to attend.

COVID-19

In-person Events Postponed; Online Connections Expanded

The Nebraska Mediation Association takes the health and safety of our communities very seriously. Due to frequently changing circumstances related to COVID-19, we have decided to cancel all in-person events through 2022 and to move our services to a virtual platform.
